Bandoneon Alfredo Marcucci in MIM - Brussels

Yesterday, Friday December 10th, the bandoneon owned by the maestro Alfredo Marcucci was official handed over by the Argentinian Embassy in Brussels to the Museum of Musical Instruments.

Both the maestro's family and his orchestra Veritango wish to thank the Embassy and the Museum for this joint effort to conserve the instrument in the museum where it will be visible to all visitors in the section "Traditional instruments" on the first floor.

Foto: Bernard Bertrand June 12th 2010 Filled with a profound sadness, the Veritango orchestra announces us that their master, guide and above all their intimate friend Alfredo Marcucci passed away on June 12th 2010 in Landen (B). The orchestra greeted the bandoneon master for the last time on June 19th 2010 in Hasselt together with his family. The Veritango orchestra keeps Alfredo Marcucci in its memory as a generous, modest and extremely gifted musician and friend.
